The Tire Plant, which was officially inaugurated on 24 April 1951, employs some 1,350 people. It was the first production unit in Colmar-Berg and was producing tires for passenger cars, for aviation and light trucks as well as for farm vehicles. Today the Tire Plant has become a European centre for manufacturing and distribution of truck tires as well as tires for all kinds of civil engineering machine with a daily output of about 6,000 truck and 140 Earthmover tires. | |||
